Smartie Oatmeal Cookies I know I say that a lot of recipes are my favorite on my site and perhaps that's because I won't post anything that doesn't float my boat, ring my tasting bell, send me to cloud nine, you get the point. These smartie cookies were inspired by some double chocolate chip cookies we'd made from the Hummingbird Bakery cookbook. To make the cookies a bit more colourful/fun/child friendly we used chocolate Smarties on top rather as well as just chocolate chips. Add the milk, golden syrup, vanilla extract, self-raising flour and Smarties to the mixture and mix well to make a thick batter a bit like a cake mix. Place spoonfuls onto a greased and floured baking tray/cookie pan making sure there is enough space in between so the mix can spread.
